About your trip:
Join Excelsior for an exciting training voyage as part of our Harbouring Potential project, supported by the Dudgeon Community Fund (8th August - 22nd August). If you are 15-25 and from North Norfolk, Great Yarmouth or Breckland, and interested in maritime-related careers, you can apply to take part in this incredible 2-week experience at sea. You will take part in the professional delivery of Excelsior from Szczecin in Poland (after her Baltic Tall Ships Races campaign), back to her home port of Lowestoft via the Kiel Canal and some interesting European ports. Along the way you will learn about what it's like to work at sea, and test yourself in some potentially challenging conditions. You will also get to know the different career opportunities available in the sector, and spend time with skilled and experienced professionals who can tell stories of what it's like, and help you get in contact with employers. If you have ever considered working in a maritime profession, this is the trip for you. Spaces are fully funded, participants must organise their own travel to Szczecin, please get in touch for more information.
The itinerary is subject to changes to allow for weather and tides.
